πŸ”’ Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 27, 2025

Your privacy and data security are important to us. This Privacy Policy details what data Collect Fumos! collects, how it's used, the purposes for which we access specific Discord data via Privileged Gateway Intents, and how you can manage your information.

It is important to note that our bot may provide or link to external websites and services (e.g., for voting, donations, or official Discord links) that are beyond our control. We advise reviewing their respective privacy policies as their data collection and usage practices may differ from ours.

1. What We Collect and Store

When you interact with Collect Fumos!, we collect and store the following data on our secure, self-hosted SQLite databases. This information is directly tied to your Discord User ID, allowing us to maintain your game state and provide the bot's features.

  • Your Discord User ID: This is the unique identifier provided by Discord for your account. It serves as the primary key to link all your game-related data to you.

  • Your Fumo Inventory: A record of all Fumo collectibles you own, identified by their unique Fumo IDs.

  • Equipped Fumo Data: Details about the specific Fumo you have equipped, including its Level, Experience (EXP), Prestige level, and Happiness.

  • Fumo Points (Currency) Balance: Your current in-game currency balance.

  • Cooldown Timestamps: Records of when you last performed certain actions (e.g., claiming a Fumo, petting your Fumo, starting an expedition, performing gacha pulls, claiming daily rewards, voting), used to enforce fair gameplay mechanics.

  • Auction Data: If you participate in the in-bot auction house as a seller or bidder, we store records of your active auctions, bids placed, the Fumo(s) involved (by Fumo ID), quantity, prices, and auction status.

  • Gacha Pack Purchase History: Records of the Gacha packs you have purchased within the bot.

  • Achievement Progress: Your current progress towards unlocking various in-game achievements and the timestamps of when achievements were unlocked.

  • Fumo Submission Data: If you submit a Fumo, we store your Discord User ID, the Fumo's name, rarity, image URL, and the submission's status. (after denied or accepted removed from database)

Server-Specific Data (linked to Discord Guild ID):

  • Discord Server ID: The unique identifier for each Discord server where the bot is active.

  • Configured Channel IDs: IDs of specific channels within a server designated for Fumo spawning or other bot functionalities.

  • Configured Role IDs: IDs of roles used for bot features (e.g., a ping role for Fumo spawns, a supporter role for rewards).

  • Fumo Spawning Status: Whether automatic Fumo spawning is currently active for a given server.

  • Last Message Timestamp: A timestamp indicating when the last non-bot message was sent in a server. This is used solely to determine server activity for Fumo spawning (see "Message Content Intent" below). We do NOT store any message content.

What We Do NOT Collect or Store (Off-Platform):

  • Your Discord Direct Messages (DMs) or the actual content of any messages.

  • Your email addresses, real names, or any other personal identifying information beyond your Discord User ID.

  • Your location, IP address, device data, or payment information.

  • Discord user statuses (e.g., online/offline, playing a game).

2. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect and store is used exclusively to operate and enhance the Collect Fumos! bot experience. We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy or as required by law.

We use your data to:

  • Provide Core Gameplay: Track your Fumo inventory, equipped Fumo stats (level, EXP, happiness, prestige), and Fumo Points balance to enable all in-game features.

  • Maintain Fair Gameplay: Enforce cooldowns, manage auction integrity, and track achievement progress to ensure a balanced and enjoyable experience for all users.

  • Enable Bot Features: Power functionalities such as Fumo auctions, expeditions, gacha pulls, gifting, Fumo battles, and custom Fumo submissions.

  • Display Public Information: Showcase your progress on leaderboards (global and server-specific) and your Fumo collection on your public Fumo profile.

  • Manage Server Settings: Store server-specific configurations like spawn channels and ping roles.

  • Drive Dynamic Spawning: Utilize the last_message_time to assess server activity and enable smart, activity-based Fumo spawning, ensuring Fumos appear in engaging communities.

  • Prevent Abuse: Use cooldowns and other tracking to protect against bot abuse and ensure fair play.

3. Privileged Gateway Intents & Data Access

Our bot utilizes specific Privileged Gateway Intents provided by Discord to perform crucial functions. This allows us to access certain types of Discord data in real-time, but we do not store this data off-platform unless explicitly stated above in Section 1.

Server Members Intent (Guild Members Intent)

  • Purpose: This intent allows the bot to access the full list of members in a Discord server, including their roles and basic member information (e.g., display names).

  • How We Use It:

    • Currency Distribution: To accurately apply bonus currency rates to "VIP" members in a designated guild by checking their roles.

    • Leaderboards: To filter global leaderboards to show only members present in a specific server and to correctly display their server-specific names.

    • Role-Based Features: To verify if a user has a specific role for eligibility (e.g., for donation rewards).

    • Bot Statistics: To display accurate member counts for servers the bot is in.

  • Data Handling: We access this data for real-time checks and processing. We do not store complete lists of guild members or their detailed Discord profile information (like join dates, statuses, or full usernames) in our databases.

Message Content Intent

  • Purpose: This intent allows the bot to receive and process the content of messages sent in servers.

  • How We Use It:

    • Activity-Based Fumo Spawning: Our primary use is to monitor general server activity. The bot's on_message listener examines incoming messages (excluding bot messages) solely to update a last_message_time timestamp for the respective guild. This timestamp is then used to determine if a server is active enough for Fumos to spawn, preventing spawns in inactive or empty channels.

  • Data Handling: We do NOT read, store, or log any message content. We only use the message's existence, its guild ID, and its author's bot status to determine server activity. Your message content is immediately discarded after the timestamp is recorded. It is never used for moderation, analysis, or any other purpose.

4. Who Can See Your Data

  • Bot Developers and Authorized Admins: Our development and administrative team may access your stored data as needed for bug fixing, debugging, moderation, game balance adjustments, or to fulfill data deletion requests. All access is strictly controlled and logged.

  • Publicly Displayed Data: Certain bot-related data, such as your leaderboard rank, Fumo collection on your public profile, and Fumos you have placed in auctions, may be visible to other users within Discord.

  • No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your personal data (including your Discord User ID or any associated game data) with advertisers, third-party companies, or external services for marketing, analytics, or any purposes unrelated to the bot's direct functionality.

  • Top.gg: We do transmit anonymized server count data to Top.gg for bot listing purposes. Your individual user data is not included in this.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is stored for as long as your Discord account actively interacts with the bot and is necessary to provide services to you.

  • If you stop using the bot or leave all servers where the bot is present, your data may be retained for a period necessary for gameplay integrity (e.g., maintaining historical leaderboard accuracy, preventing exploitation by quickly rejoining, or for statistical purposes).

  • To request data deletion: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of all your stored user data. Please contact the bot owner through:

    • The official Collect Fumos! support server: https://discord.gg/6VeVAHaXfN

    • Direct message to yukiokoito on Discord.

    • Once your identity is verified, we will remove all your stored user data permanently from our databases when we can.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored securely using trusted database solutions and server environments. However, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute safety from unforeseen breaches or third-party attacks.

7. Third-Party Platforms

This service operates on Discord. To understand how Discord collects, stores, and uses your data, please review their privacy policy at: https://discord.com/privacy.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website/support server or through bot announcements. Your continued use of the bot after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
